 Jessica Steen is a Canadian actress, appearing in the television and film industry, acclaimed for her work in Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, Homefront, Earth 2, Armageddon, Left Behind: World at War, NCIS, Flashpoint and the CBC series Heartland.



 



 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was the daughter of Joanna Noyes (an actress) and Jan Steen (an actor and director). She has Dutch and Scottish origins.



 



 Steen apart from her career in entertainment, is an environmentalist as well as a supporter of animal rights. She is a supporter of David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals and the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee, in addition to other groups. She is a certified diver who is proficient in several circus arts, including fire-twirling stilt-walking , and fire-twirling.
